Police are trying to trace the owner of a toy life-size tiger that sparked a major operation involving armed officers and a force helicopter in Southampton, the Daily Telegraph reports.

But as police officers carefully approached the "wild animal" they realized it was not moving and the helicopter crew, using thermal imaging equipment, realized there was no heat source coming from it.

Releasing a photo of the toy tiger, a force spokeswoman said: "The toy tiger is life-size and is like one that you would win at a fair. It is being treated as lost property but we don't know how it came to be in the field and whether it may have been a hoax."

英出動直升機抓玩具虎

???????據英國《每日電訊報》報道，英國南安普頓警方出動地面武裝警察，還調用警用直升機，追捕一只仿真玩具老虎。

???????當警察小心翼翼試圖接近這頭“猛獸”時，發現它一動不動；而直升機機組人員使用熱能成像設備觀察，也發現它根本就沒有熱源。

???????隨后，警方公布了這個玩具老虎的照片。警方發言人稱：“這就是個仿真玩具虎，類似在集市玩游戲時贏得的獎品。我們當它是失物處理；但是我們不知道它是怎么跑到草地上的，也不清楚這是不是個惡作劇。”
