Zhao: So what is the purpose of “Earth Day”, how did it get started and what exactly has it accomplished?

Zhao: That all sounds nice. But compared with progress made in environmental protection, nothing seems to have changed in population explosion, ozone depletion, global warming and that sort of thing. Let’s face it, the more people on the earth, the more resources will be used up and the more waste there will be. What are we going to do if we run out of land for food? We must not take the issue lightly.
