華為競(jìng)標(biāo)倫敦地鐵項(xiàng)目

Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. confirmed Monday that the company had participated in a phone network installation bid for the London Underground, Xinhua reported.

據(jù)新華社報(bào)道，華為技術(shù)有限公司周一證實(shí)，該公司已參與競(jìng)標(biāo)倫敦地鐵的電話網(wǎng)絡(luò)安裝項(xiàng)目。一名不愿透露姓名的高級(jí)管理人員向新華社表示，該競(jìng)標(biāo)項(xiàng)目?jī)r(jià)值約5千萬(wàn)英鎊。他說(shuō): “英國(guó)是華為一個(gè)重要市場(chǎng)，我們一直以來(lái)致力于為英國(guó)提供安全、高科技的通信服務(wù)。”華為是中國(guó)最大的網(wǎng)絡(luò)和電信設(shè)備供應(yīng)商，也是世界第二大移動(dòng)通信基礎(chǔ)設(shè)備供應(yīng)商。

過(guò)度開發(fā) 海島遭殃

據(jù)新華社報(bào)道，由中國(guó)國(guó)家海洋局主持歷時(shí)五年的調(diào)查發(fā)現(xiàn)，無(wú)序粗放式開發(fā)正使中國(guó)海島消失。該調(diào)查表示，海島消失是由人為破壞性活動(dòng)帶來(lái)的，如圍填海、挖沙、甚至炸島。這個(gè)關(guān)于中國(guó)海岸、海島和潮間帶的調(diào)查還發(fā)現(xiàn)，隨著城鎮(zhèn)開發(fā)和港口建設(shè)加速，天然的海岸線正被迅速地改造成人工構(gòu)造。海洋局表示，近期還會(huì)發(fā)布一個(gè)全面的中國(guó)海島名錄。

西藏航空7月啟航

據(jù)新華社報(bào)道，西藏航空公司周一宣布，將于7月實(shí)現(xiàn)首飛。該公司的第一架飛機(jī)將于7月7日在德國(guó)漢堡交付，7月20日將從拉薩首飛北京。第二、三架飛機(jī)將在8月3日、9日交付。西藏航空計(jì)劃在5年內(nèi)將飛機(jī)數(shù)增至20架。

Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. confirmed Monday that the company had participated in a phone network installation bid for the London Underground, Xinhua reported. A senior executive, who requested anonymity, told Xinhua that the bid was worth some 50 million pounds. "The UK is an important market for Huawei, and we have been engaged in providing safe and hi-tech telecommunication services to the country," he said. Huawei is the largest networking and telecommunications equipment supplier in China and the second-largest supplier of mobile telecommunications infrastructure equipment in the world.

China's islands 'are disappearing'

Islands off China's coast are disappearing due to unplanned and crude exploitation, according to a five-year survey by the State Oceanic Administration (SOA), Xinhua reported. Land reclamation, dredging, and even bombing of islands are some of the destructive human activities causing them to disappear, the survey says. The survey of China's coast, islands and tidal regions, also found that natural coastlines are being rapidly converted into man-made structures as urban development and port construction speed up. The SOA said a comprehensive directory of China's islands would be published in the near future.

Tibet Airlines to fly in July

Tibet Airlines Company said Monday that it will inaugurate its first flight in July, Xinhua reported. As the company's first aircraft will be delivered in Hamburg, Germany on Jul. 7, the company will then offer its first flight from Lhasa to Beijing on July 20. The second and third aircraft will be delivered by Aug. 3 and 9. Tibet Airlines plans to increase its number of aircrafts to 20 within five years.
