A 6.6-magnitude earthquake occurred Monday under the sea near Russia's Far East, Moscow's local media said. There were no immediate reports of injuries.
The epicenter of the quake, which hit at 12:05 Moscow time (0905 GMT), was 33 km beneath the sea bed and 360 km west of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy, Interfax cited the Emergencies Ministry as reporting.
The U.S. Geological Survey measured the quake at 7.0-magnitude and located the epicenter at 314 km west of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy.
