Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo will pay a working visit to the United States from December 10-17.

He will co-chair the sixth strategic dialogue with US Deputy Secretary of State John Negroponte, announced Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao in Beijing on Friday.

The fifth Sino-US strategic dialogue was held in China in January 2008. The two sides agreed to hold the sixth dialogue within this year in the United States.

The China-US Strategic Dialogue was launched in August 2005 in accordance with the consensus of the two heads of state.
