The staff of Chinese Academy of Sience observes the changes of the width of the Yulong Snow Mountain in Lijiang, southwest China's Yunnan Province. Affected by the Global warming, Yulong Snow Mountain's glaciers are melting at an unprecedented rate in recent 20 years. The Yulong Snow Mountain is a famous scenic spot in China. The snow-capped mountain had 13 peaks along the range, 35 kilometres in width, including 19 glaciers. The looming crisis has been highlighted by the dramatic shrinkage of the Yulong Snow Mountain glacier. Over the past two decades, its main component, the Baishui No. 1 Glacier, has receded 250 meters.
