Natural disaster monitoring satellites to be launched

China plans to launch two satellites for monitoring ecological environment and natural disasters on Friday from the country's north Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, sources from the center said Wednesday.

The satellites under the name "Environment 1" will be sent into orbit by a Long March 2C carrier.
