Floods, landslides in Yunnan kill 40

The death toll from disasters caused by heavy rain has risen to 40 with six missing in southwest China's Yunnan Province, the provincial government said on Wednesday. Local government had resettled 8,479 evacuated people. Repair efforts continued for damaged highways.
