Pollution threat under control in Shanghai
Adjust font size:

The Shanghai Environmental Monitoring Center is keeping a close eye on water quality in several rivers around Hongqiao International Airport as the de-icing agent the airport used during the January snows has been found to pollute the environment in those waterways.

But the pollution was slight and most of the pollutant has been removed, according to Han Zhonghao, a water quality expert at the center.
