Two people were killed and another one was missing amid the floods triggered by rain storms from Monday to Wednesday in southwest China's Sichuan Province, local authorities told Xinhua Thursday.

The rain storms had affected 2.49 million people and 30,000 people had been evacuated, according to a report from the provincial government.

More than 10,000 houses were torn down and 83,210 hectare of crops were affected. Nearly 100 kilometers of dams were damaged, the report said.
