Jay Chou's third film offering, the Kung-Fu Dunk, is
set to entertain holiday moviegoers during the Chinese New Year
holiday.
The date for a pan-Asia screening is scheduled on February 7,
Chinese New Year's Day according to the lunar calendar.

film is slated to open in Chinese theaters on February 7, the
Chinese New Year's Day.
The film's production team made the announcement on Saturday at
a press conference in Shanghai.
The crew was in Shanghai attending the 10th Shanghai
International Film Festival, which opened on Saturday.
Director Chu Yin-Ping gave a thumbs-up to Jay Chou's performance
in the basketball-themed action film, saying the Taiwan pop king is
fast gaining skills in acting as well.
Jay Chou starred in the 2005 drifting movie Initial D,
as well as Zhang Yimou's 2006 historical epic Curse of the
Golden Flower.
The Kung-Fu Dunk was formerly known as Slam
Dunk, but was renamed to exploit more markets, reports
say.
Jay Chou has reportedly said that leading the film is a
dream-coming-true, because he is obsessed with both Chinese kung-fu
and basketball.
The film also features Hong Kong veteran actor Eric Tsang and
Charlene Choi of the Hong Kong pop duo Twins.
