The Weifang International Kite Festival has once again kicked off in the renowned "Kite Town" in east China's Shandong Province.
This is the 21st edition of the annual festival in Weifang.
More than one thousand participants from home and abroad are taking part in the two-day festivities, competing for the title of "Kite King".
There are over ten thousand kinds of kites at the event, with some in the shape of centipedes, butterflies, and cartoon characters, to name just a few.
Meanwhile, 136 beautiful women from around the world will join the contest for the title of Miss Kite World.
