The Temple of Marquis Wu is a recess of shade trees, bonsai, and tile-roofed wooden temples built to commemorate Zhuge Liang, a famous military strategist during the Three Kingdoms Period (220-65 AD), and Liu Bei, his Shu Han Kingdom emperor.
There is a small but good museum about the Three Kingdoms Period, a comfortable teahouse, a vegetarian restaurant, and an art gallery showing the work of Sichuanese painters on a rotating basis. The gallery has a permanent collection of bonsai trees. There is also a video about the Three Kingdoms Period, not particularly good, and an active temple.
Take the number one bus from in front of the Jinjiang Hotel, or walk west from the Jinjiang Hotel on Bin Hong Xi Road and cross the Nan River at the second bridge. You will be on Sha Niu Xiang (Cow Killing Lane). Go right on Wuhou Ci Da Street. It's about a twenty-minute walk.
