A photo taken on Nov. 23rd, 2002 shows a group of elderly musicians in traditional costumes playing Naxi ancient music with unique ancient Naxi musical instruments in Southwest China's Yunnan province.
Naxi ancient music is an important part of so-called Dongba Culture which began to boom in Southwest China nearly 2,000 years ago.
Local government has been collecting and cleanning up paintings, music, literature as well as language of Dongba Culture, the culture of China's Naxi ethnic groups, to preserve and revive the ancient civiliazation.
