This nouveau-Cantonese outlet with touches of Chinoiserie wall decoration specializes in dim sum, roast meats and seafood.
The European-inspired menu is huge and a tad overwhelming. Their chef's special of barbecued pork tenderloin (RMB 78) was juicy and sweetly glazed with honey but a bit too fatty. Our favorite was their bacon-wrapped prawns with broccoli and Australian scallops (RMB 168)-crunchy bacon wrapped around prawns dipped in a sweet and sour sauce complemented the mild flavors of the broccoli and tender scallops so perfectly.
The only disappointment was the clay pot chicken cooked with sausages, shitake mushroom and gingko nuts (RMB 48) for it was a bit too oily and the gingko nuts were actually chestnuts.
However, the five-star service and presentation made the meal enjoyable. The restaurant also has a tea bar and private alcoves for a more intimate meal.
