It was named by the State Environmental Protection Administration and the China Society of Environmental Science as an example site of sustainable agriculture.

The resort is divided into three areas, namely a plant-growing area, a fish and poultry breeding area as well as lodging and entertainment facilities.

The resort provides not only standard hotel rooms but also many China traditional courtyards. Most of the courtyards show a country flavor with each equipped with 10 or more beds in separated rooms. Some even have Kang, a brick bed heated by hearth.
