Six Australian possums are being flown to Guangzhou to live in the city's Chimelong Wildlife Park on Thursday, according to local media report.
The animals will be ready to meet tourists by the end of June after they adjust to their new environment.
The Guangzhou park will be the first in China to keep possums.
To create a better home for the Australian marsupials, more than 40,000 eucalyptus trees were planted at the Chimelong Wildlife Park three years ago, covering an area of more than 13.33 hectares.
