Long-distance Trains Leaving Shenzhen to Run out Soon

Most seats on long-distance trains leaving Shenzhen have been booked for the period between January 14 and January 17, a spokesman of the railway company said Sunday.

January 14 is the first day of the Spring Festival travel peak. The railway company did not start selling tickets for January 17 until Sunday.

For the period of January 14 to January 17, there were still a few sleeper tickets for the No. T38 train from Shenzhen to Guilin and the No. L140 train from Shenzhen to Shanghai, as well as some hard seat tickets for train No.2272 from Shenzhen to Fuzhou. The No. N706 train from Shenzhen to Huaihua still have some hard seat tickets for January 14, said a spokesman with the railway company Sunday.

The No.L140 train, which runs between Shenzhen and Shanghai everyday between January 14 and January 27, starts from the Shenzhen Railway Station at 11:55.

Citizens are required to book train tickets by dialing 9510-5160 and collect the tickets using their ID cards at the ticket outlets within two days. Tickets that are not collected within two days will have to be booked again.

Trains from and to Shenzhen are expected to carry a total of 2.089 million passengers during the Spring Festival travel peak.
