More Flights Available but Regularity Rate Lower

After two Airbus A319 aircraft were introduced, Hainan Airlines will increase its flights in five major cities in China in a week.

More flights will be available from Xi'an to Beijing, Shanghai, Ningbo, Dalian and Wenzhou, starting from October 30.

Flights from Xi'an to Beijing will increase from three flights per day to four flights. Flights between Xi'an and Shanghai will add one more to two flights per day. The newly introduced Airbus A319 will run these flights. Meanwhile, more flights will be available from Xi'an to Ningbo and Dalian, and from Xi'an to Wenzhou.

Most flights in China flew on time in the third quarter, with flight regularity rate reaching 80.29 percent during this period, a little bit lower than previous two quarters but meeting the goal of 80 percent set by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).

CAAC announced on Monday that among the 363, 460 scheduled flights during the third quarter, 69,349 flew irregularly. Meanwhile, irregularity rate for luggage handling and cargo transport were 0.024 percent and 0.0049 percent respectively.

CAAC, local aviation management bureaus and the CAAC consumers' center dealt with 98 valid cases of customer complaints during the third quarter, among the 38,934,900 passengers it carries.
