Tourists Favor of Revolutionary Sites

More and more Chinese tourists chose to travel to those revolutionary tourism sites, or "red tourism" spots during the National Day vacation.

Many of those sites located near mountains and lakes, combining with ecotourism products.

"Our red tourism travel plan came from my son," said Xu Suzhong, who planned to visit Yanan in Shanxi province during the holiday. His wife agreed because she found the place also a green destination.

According to China National Tourism Administration (CNTA), red tourism will become popular during the vacation, because this year marked the 60th year anniversary of the victory of anti-Fascist war and anti-Japanese war.

Compared with last year, the vacation forecast listed "red tourism" destination in the spotlight, by adding cities such as Nanchang, Ruijin, Yanan and Zunyi, said Zhang Jianzhong, a senior official of CNTA.

Pan is a rich entrepreneur in Beijing. He and his wife planned to drive to Xibaipo in Hebei Province, a famous red tourism spot. "Sometimes I feel worried because as the fortune grows, I seem to lose the initial courage when starting the business. We also hope to donate money for some poor children during our trip there."

His wife hoped to experience the fun of fishing and farming. "It is now the harvest season, I hope to pick some fruit by myself."

According to CNTA, there are lots of passengers traveling by air and railway on the first day of the holiday.
