Weekly Weather Forecast (Jan. 10-16)

Northwest China: January 10-12, western and northern Xinjiang, southern and eastern Qinghai, southern Gansu and southern Shaanxi will be overcast with light snowfall, while northern Shaanxi and northern Ningxia will see force 4-5 northerly winds. These areas will also see dropping temperatures. January 13-14, western Xinjiang and eastern sections of the northwest will continue to receive light snowfall. January 15-16, most of the region will be under sunny to cloudy skies except western Xinjiang, which will remain overcast with possible light snowfall.

North China: January 10-12, most of the region will be sunny to cloudy and warmer, while northeastern portions of Inner Mongolia will be overcast with light snow. January 13-14, northernmost portions of the region will be cloudy to sunny with force 4-5 northerly winds, while southern portions will be overcast with light snow possible in some areas. January 15-16, most of the region will be sunny to cloudy, while eastern Inner Mongolia will be cloudy to overcast with light snowfall.

Northeast China: January 10-11, most of the region will be sunny to cloudy with force 4-5 northerly winds in the central and easternmost parts, while temperatures will remain low through most areas. January 12-14, most of the region will be overcast with light snowfall and force 4-5 northerly winds. January 15-16, most of the northeast will be under sunny to cloudy skies except Heilongjiang Province, with some light snowfall

Central China: January 10-12, most of Henan Province will be sunny to cloudy with fog expected in some areas; Hubei and Hunan provinces will be overcast and colder with light to moderate rain or snowfall. January 13-14, most of the central region will experience light rain or snow with moderate rainfall expected in portions of Hunan Province. January 15-16, most of the region will be sunny to cloudy.

East China: January 10-12, areas north of the Huaihe River will be sunny to cloudy and warmer; central and southern sectors of Jiangsu and Anhui provinces, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangxi and Fujian provinces will be overcast with light to moderate rainfall or snow and a drop in temperature. January 13-14, most of the east will be cloudy to overcast with light to moderate rain or snow in the central and southern portions and on the Shandong Peninsula, while some of southern portions will experience moderate to heavy rainfall. January 15-16, northern sections will see sunny to cloudy skies, while central and southern sections will be under cloudy to sunny skies.

South China: January 10-12, most of the region will be overcast with light rainfall and a drop in temperature. January 13-14, precipitation will move from west to east across most of the region, generally light rainfall increasing to moderate in some areas. January 15-16, most of south China will be cloudy to sunny.

Southwest China: January 10-13, eastern Tibet and eastern sectors of the southwest will see continuous overcast skies with light to moderate rain or snowfall. January 14, most of the region will experience cloudy or overcast days with light snow or rain expected in parts of Sichuan and Guizhou provinces. January 15-16, most of the region will be cloudy to sunny.
