China, Poland vow to advance cooperation
Adjust font size:

China is willing to make concerted efforts with Poland to push forward cooperation between the two countries, visiting Chinese Vice Premier Zeng Peiyan said in Warsaw on Tuesday.

In recent years, the development of China-Poland relations has maintained strong momentum, with remarkable achievements in trade and economic cooperation, Zeng said at a meeting with his Polish counterpart Waldemar Pawlak.

Poland has now become China's largest trade partner in central and eastern Europe, he added.

Zeng called on the two countries to continue high-level exchanges and strengthen cooperation in international and regional affairs.

He also praised the Polish government's adherence to the one-China policy.

For his part, Pawlak said Poland attaches great importance to its relations with China.

He expressed hope that the two countries could broaden cooperation in such fields as environmental protection, clean energy sources, infrastructures and mining.

Pawlak encouraged more Chinese enterprises to invest in Poland, saying his country is ready to provide necessary assistance to them.

After the meeting, Zeng and Pawlak attended a signing ceremony of several agreements on trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.

Zeng arrived here late Monday on an official visit.
