The salaries of enterprises' chairperson and stewardess take lead in executive positions and the service sectors, hitting respectively to a yearly sum of 211,680 and 68,288 yuan.

According to insiders, the guiding scales could serve as an objective market reference. The 264 positions have covered nearly all current positions in Beijing's main enterprises and companies.

Among those holding managerial posts, the annual salaries of chairperson, directors, advertising and PR managers and research and development managers all exceed 150,000 yuan, with lawyers' closely running up at 144,600 yuan.

Those whose annual salaries are over 100,000 yuan are deputy directors, chief engineers, financial managers, sale managers, HR managers, IT technical personnel and so on.

Among those who are working in business, service and manufacturing sectors, the annual salaries of sanitation workers, stockmen, dyeing workers and a dozen other kinds of workers are less than 20,000 yuan. With a sharp contrast, the workers in civil aviation can earn a covetous sum of 68,000 yuan.

Sources indicate the guiding scales just work as an objective reflection of labor market during a certain period of time, not the standard salary scales issued by the labor and social security departments.
