Da Jue Temple, built in 1068, is located at the foot of Yang Tai Mountain, northwestern suburb of Hai Dian District of Beijing. It was first called Qingshui Court, and then Lingquan Temple. In 1428, it was rebuilt and called Da Jue Temple. It is composed of Tianwang Hall, Daxiong Hall, Wuliangsi Hall and Dabei Hall.
Da Jue Temple is a famous temple with a long history. Many lively and vivid Buddhist sculptures are worshiped there. The stele that recounts the sutra treasured up in this temple is a precious cultural relic, built in 1068.
Da Jue Temple has an elegant environment, with a large field in the front and many mountains and trees at the back. Clear and sweet spring water runs in small channels through the temple grounds. Umbrageous old trees that reach the sky have various postures, with yulans and gingkoes as the best in Beijing. Da Jue Temple is a cultural relic unit under state-level protection. After nearly a thousand years of refit, it has become a new tourist destination at the suburb of Beijing.
