Oysters galore, buckets of Champagne, a delightful musical interlude and, most of all, the unveiling of those marvellous PCDs (Personal Communications Devices) from Xelibri would surely have had Her Majesty screaming for more.
A gaggle of highly-paid groupies and professional party-goers managed to transform the Old Billingsgate Market into a scene of unequalled lavishness in a matter of days.
And so it was that countless celebrities began their London Fashion Week jostling at the gates of this hottest new club in town, desperate to be there as Xelibri's first collection was born. Of course only a handful of world superstars could actually be given the chance to serenade the little digital darlings.
Dame Shirley Bassey was the first of these glittering few to be allowed on stage to in honour of the Xelibri collection. Her sensational songs were followed by performances by Ms Dynamite, the artistic boygroup, Most Wanted, and, finally, Christina Aguilera.
Christina, in fact, was so taken aback by Xelibri's futuristic accessories that she wore a multitude of ravishing outfits during her show, in a much appreciated - but inevitably hopeless - attempt to outshine the glamour of the XelibriPCDs.
The atmosphere teetered on the brink of hysteria when, finally, the four members of the Xelibri collection were revealed.
The theme for XelibriPCDs 2003 Spring and Summer Collections is "Space On Earth".
Xelibri 1 - The Retro-Futuristic Classic. The smooth, chic design is fit for black evening dress on ceremonial occasions.
Xelibri 2 - The Alien Beauty. The smooth outfit well matches with its tender colour of sea-blue and purple, displaying the essence of the feminine. It is portable and can be attached on collars, bags or waist of trousers.
Xelibri 3 - The Mini-Pendant. It is the smallest and lightest one in the world. It can be worn as a necklace. No button and keyboard can be found and all the operations can be functioned by vocal message.
Xelibri 4 - The Dark Hero.
Each XELIBRI collection will consist of four phones and just as fashion accessories there will be spring/summer and fall/winter collections.
The phones will be available in limited quantities and will be marketed as fashion items with two collections per year, and will initially go on sale in the UK, China, including Hong Kong, in France, Germany, Italy, Singapore and Spain and in further markets from September.
