Dead whale found in Shandong

A dead whale was found at a fishing dock in Rongcheng of east China's Shandong Province and sent to be iced in Qingdao, a coastal city of the province.

People crowd to see the dead whale that was found in a fishing dock in Shandong on January 20.

The whale, which hit the net circling an aquatics breeding zone on January 19, was strangled to death by the ropes, reported Xinhua News Agency.

Measuring 16 meters in length and weighing 47 tons, the whale has drawn a large numbers of locals to take a look.

This photo, published on January 21shows a giant dead whale suspended in the air by a crane at a fishing dock in Shandong.
