Beautiful rime world in Xinjiang's Kanas
Adjust font size:

Trees and bushes in Kanas, one of the best-known tourist destinations in northwestern China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, all dressed up in silver suits on January 5 after a major snowfall.

Trees and bushes in Kanas are coated in rime on January 5, 2008, as the local temperature dropped to below 30 degrees Celsius after a snowfall.

The enchanting rime, following a temperature fall to below 30 degrees Celsius, has attracted a large number of tourists.

With diversified natural landscapes including glaciers, permafrost, mountains, rivers, lakes and grassland, Kanas was dubbed as a fairyland in China.
