Peach trees in blossom in winter
Adjust font size:  ZoomIn ZoomOut

Over five hectares of peach trees in an experimental garden in Yinchuan, capital city of north-western China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, are seeing the full bloom in January, the coldest month in most of China's northern cities.

Visitors enjoy themselves among the blooming flowers at the experimental garden on January 7.

The nectarine trees, one member of the peach family, are contra-seasonal, the Xinhua news agency reported on Monday.

The pink flowers have drawn large numbers of local citizens to visit and feel a sense of spring.

Workers at the experimental garden in Yinchuan are working among the blooming flowers on January 7.
