Pollution hits Lanzhou section of Yellow River
Adjust font size:

An oil spill has been discovered on the Lanzhou section of the Yellow River in the northwestern Chinese province of Gansu.

Oil bubbles were seen floating on the surface of the river resulting in the environmental protection department of the municipal government to investigate to find the source of the pollutant.

Lanzhou, the provincial capital, is home to a one-kilometer stretch of the Yellow River, where the drinking water for the two million local residences comes from.
