Heavy rain alleviates drought in Jiangxi

A retired hydrological worker looks at the water gauge on the Ganjiang River in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, yesterday. The water rose more than 50 centimeters on Tuesday following heavy rain, which also alleviated the drought in the area.
