Noxious river plant creeps into the bund in Shanghai
Adjust font size:

The noxious river plant water hyacinth has been discovered in the Huangpu River near the bund in Shanghai on Tuesday, Shanghai Daily reported.

City officials said the outbreak of the polluting plant was a month earlier and in larger amounts than in previous years.

A worker on a cleaning boat clears away water hyacinth yesterday from the Huangpu River around the bund in Shanghai, where an outbreak of the aggressive plant was reported.
