The top 10 modern model love couples in China were revealed by China Women Newspaper on November 5. Couple Zhu Guiqin and Li Guangming and nine other pairs were among those selected. Among those who were not chosen were the highly anticipated elderly Chinese-American scientist Yang Chen-ning and his much-younger wife Weng Fan.

The ten modern love stories are legendary.

Twenty-nine-year-old Zhu Guiqin from Laohekou city in Hubei province donated her kidney to her dying husband Li Guangming.

Deng Zhong and his Armenian wife; Xie Kunshan, a disabled artist from Taipei and his wife;Wang Jinyun and his wife Cai Lingzi ; also Liu Guojiang and his 10 years senior "widow" Xu Chaoqing were among the other touching modern love couples chosen.
