All Li Changxing's photographs are of nature: a constant theme that makes him more a romantic lyricist than a photographer. Mountains, rivers, clouds and sunsets as projected through Li's camera lens are all nature's exquisite handiworks.
The vast scope of Li's scenic photographs extends from the commonplace to the rare. He exemplifies the traditional Chinese predilection for landscapes; the scenery he portrays is a profoundly poetic expression of the relationship between man and nature.
Li was formerly a photo-journalist. He currently holds the post incumbent of chairman of the Standing Committee of Municipal People's Congress Guiyang. His second post -- honorary president of Guiyang photographers' Association- is a life passion, as it enables him to share his love of natural beauty with like minds. His Light of the Holy Land uses special techniques to express the striking and mystic beauty of Tibet. Sharp contrasts form the harmonious A Winter Day and A Journey on Cloud expresses the oneness of man and nature. Alone on the Lake also makes use of contrasts, imbuing the picture with solemn profundity.
Li's keen eye, sensitivity to the beauty of nature and overt passion are the qualities possessed by all great poets, artists and photographers.
