A New Model for Human Advancement

"A new model for human advancement" is the phrase President Xi Jinping used to summarize the glorious history of the CPC and the great achievements along the new Chinese path to modernization from the perspective of civilization. "China has upheld and developed socialism with Chinese characteristics and driven coordinated progress in material, political, cultural-ethical, social, and ecological terms," he said on July 1, 2021, at a ceremony marking the centenary of the CPC. "We have pioneered a new and uniquely Chinese path to modernization and created a new model for human advancement."

For thousands of years, the Chinese nation has followed a path of civilizational development distinct from other countries and nations. Along the long historical process, the Chinese nation formed spiritual characteristics and development patterns underscoring benevolence, the importance of all people, integrity, justice, harmony, and unity. The Chinese path to moderniza- tion is deeply rooted in the best of traditional Chinese culture. It reflects the advanced nature of scientific socialism and draws on all the most outstanding achievements of human civilization. It represents the development direction of human civilization, offers a new vision that contrasts the Western modernization model, and produces a new model for human advancement. This new model created by the Chinese path to modernization has solved many problems hindering the development of human society, set an example for other developing countries to move towards modernization independently, and provided Chinese solutions for mankind to explore better social systems.

創造人類文明新形態

人類文明新形態是習近平從文明視角對中國共產黨百年歷史輝煌和中國式現代化新道路的偉大成就所作出的總結和概括。2021年7月1日，習近平在慶祝中國共產黨成立一百周年的大會上提出，中國堅持和發展中國特色社會主義，推動物質文明、政治文明、精神文明、社會文明、生態文明協調發展，創造了中國式現代化新道路，創造了人類文明新形態。

數千年來，中華民族走著一條不同于其他國家和民族的文明發展道路。在漫長的歷史進程中，中華民族形成了講仁愛、重民本、守誠信、崇正義、尚和合、求大同的精神特質和發展形態。中國式現代化深深植根于中華優秀傳統文化， 體現科學社會主義的先進本質，借鑒吸收一切人類優秀文明成果，代表人類文明進步的發展方向，展現了不同于西方現代化模式的新圖景，是一種全新的人類文明形態。中國式現代化所創造的人類文明新形態，破解了人類社會發展的諸多難題，為廣大發展中國家獨立自主邁向現代化樹立了典范， 為人類對更好社會制度的探索提供了中國方案。
