Beijing Olympic Winter Games and Paralympic Games
The 24th Olympic Winter Games and the 13th Paralympic Winter Games were held in Beijing from February 4 to 20, 2022, and from March 4 to 13, 2022, respectively. It was Beijing's second hosting of the Olympic Games after the 2008 Summer Olympics. The Beijing 2022 Games were held in three Winter Olympic competition zones, bookended by splendid opening and closing ceremonies. The theme of a global community of shared future flavored the whole process. Chinese cultural elements and ice and snow elements complemented each other to express the beauty of nature, humanity, and sports. Together with Zhangjiakou City, Beijing successfully hosted a simple, safe, and wonderful Olympic Games for the world, fulfilling its solemn commitment to the international community while becoming the world's first city to host both Winter and Summer Olympics.
During the competition, athletes from all over the world demonstrated respect, encouraged each other, and pushed their limits. Throughout the fierce competition, they perfectly captured the Olympic motto of "faster, higher, stronger-together" and the Paralympic values of "courage, determination, inspiration, and equality." The successful hosting of the Beijing Olympic Winter Games and the Paralympic Winter Games promoted exchange and mutual learning among different civilizations, played an important role in promoting global solidarity and cooperation to overcome difficulties, and brought confidence and hope to a volatile world, sending a strong signal for the world to venture "together into the future."
北京冬奧會、冬殘奧會
第24屆冬季奧林匹克運動會、第13屆冬季殘疾人奧林匹克運動會分別于2022年2月4日至2月20日、2022年3月4日至3月13日在北京舉辦。這是繼2008年夏季奧運會之后，北京第二次舉辦奧運會。兩場賽事盛會、三個冬奧賽區(qū)、四場開閉幕式精彩紛呈，人類命運共同體的主題貫穿始終，中華文化和冰雪元素交相輝映，體現(xiàn)了自然之美、人文之美、運動之美。北京攜手張家口向世界奉獻了一屆簡約、安全、精彩的奧運盛會，全面兌現(xiàn)了對國際社會的莊嚴承諾，北京成為世界上首座“雙奧之城”。
比賽期間，來自世界各地的體育健兒在賽場上相互尊重、彼此激勵、突破極限，在激情的比賽中完美演繹了“更快、更高、更強——更團結(jié)”的奧林匹克格言和“勇氣、決心、激勵、平等”的殘奧價值觀。北京冬奧會、冬殘奧會的成功舉辦，促進了不同文明交流互鑒，為推動全球團結(jié)合作、共克時艱發(fā)揮了重要作用，也為動蕩不安的世界帶來了信心和希望，向世界發(fā)出了“一起向未來”的時代強音。
