Unique Character of Guizhou in the New Era
On October 19, 2017, in a meeting with Guizhou delegates to the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Xi Jinping noted that Guizhou should strive to foster and promote such values as collaboration, innovation, dedication, diligence, and determination to catch up.
Happiness is attained through hard work. The unique character of Guizhou in the new era is a true representation of how the people of the province have worked hard to scale new heights and make enormous strides despite all the difficulties. It is what has been driving these people in the fight against poverty, in the endeavor to achieve moderate prosperity and to write a new chapter in the new era. It is also the greatest source of strength Guizhou needs the most at present.
By leveraging the inner drive of all parts and all sectors of the province, Guizhou has maximally pooled the wisdom and strength of people of all ethnic groups and aroused the passion of everyone for career advances and entrepreneurial success. Working together, they have completely removed the label of absolute poverty and eventually boosted the development of Guizhou by leaps and bounds.
