The Culture That Favors the Development of a Strong Military
The culture that favors the development of a strong military can find its origin in the Chinese tradition. It was born during China's revolution and socialist development under the leadership of the CPC, and is rooted in the contemporary imperative to build a strong military.
Addressing the Military Political Work Conference in Gutian in October 2014, Xi Jinping emphasized the need to build a culture that enables strong defense capabilities and inspires the courage and tenacity to confront daunting challenges, bearing in mind our military tradition and our duties.
The Decision on Strengthening Political Work in the Military Under New Conditions issued by the Central Committee in December 2014 reiterates the importance of building a culture that responds to the specific needs of the military, fits a contemporary context, supports efforts to enhance defense capabilities, and upholds the values of our nation and military. Efforts to build such a culture must be guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, help cultivate core socialist values, and focus on combat readiness and training officers and soldiers of the new era with faith, ability, courage, and integrity. Measures in this connection should include integrated development of necessary platforms, institutional arrangements and resources for creating better cultural products to solicit strength to guide and push the move to realize the Chinese Dream and the dream of building a strong military.
打造強(qiáng)軍文化
強(qiáng)軍文化源自中華優(yōu)秀傳統(tǒng)文化，熔鑄于中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人民創(chuàng)造的革命文化和社會(huì)主義先進(jìn)文化，植根于強(qiáng)軍興軍的偉大實(shí)踐。
2014年10月，習(xí)近平在古田全軍政治工作會(huì)議上強(qiáng)調(diào)，要結(jié)合各部隊(duì)傳統(tǒng)和任務(wù)特點(diǎn)，加強(qiáng)軍事文化建設(shè)，打造強(qiáng)軍文化，培養(yǎng)官兵大無畏的英雄氣概和英勇頑強(qiáng)的戰(zhàn)斗作風(fēng)。2014年12月，中共中央轉(zhuǎn)發(fā)《關(guān)于新形勢(shì)下軍隊(duì)政治工作若干問題的決定》，明確要求打造具有軍隊(duì)特色、彰顯時(shí)代精神、支撐打贏制勝的強(qiáng)軍文化，塑造中國(guó)心、民族魂、強(qiáng)軍志。打造強(qiáng)軍文化，必須以習(xí)近平新時(shí)代中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義思想為指導(dǎo)，深入貫徹習(xí)近平強(qiáng)軍思想，大力培育和踐行社會(huì)主義核心價(jià)值觀，始終聚焦備戰(zhàn)打仗，著力培養(yǎng)有靈魂、有本事、有血性、有品德的新時(shí)代革命軍人，統(tǒng)籌推進(jìn)文化內(nèi)容建設(shè)、平臺(tái)建設(shè)、力量建設(shè)和制度建設(shè)，為實(shí)現(xiàn)中國(guó)夢(mèng)強(qiáng)軍夢(mèng)提供強(qiáng)大價(jià)值引導(dǎo)力、文化凝聚力、精神推動(dòng)力。
