Cultivation of a Strong Fighting Spirit
Our people's armed forces are known for their ability to fight and win. The undeniable strength of their fighting spirit has been tested over the long years of revolution and economic development. They dare to beat any odds, and dare to confront any danger.
While inspecting the naval forces stationed in Sanya in April 2013, Xi Jinping emphasized the importance of cultivating a strong fighting spirit as an essential element of a political awareness initiative as well as a measure to strengthen the capabilities of service members to fight, to command, and to train, and urged the implementation of long-term mechanisms for developing that spirit.
The Decision on Strengthening Political Work in the Military Under New Conditions outlines a comprehensive framework for developing this spirit through efforts to raise political awareness, tough training, strict discipline, enabling cultural environment, personal involvement in actual operations, and institutional incentives. To this end, training sessions will be organized to examine military history, conduct case studies of wars and conflicts, and read stories of exemplary commanders and war heroes. This will inspire patriotism and heroism, prepare our service members to fight and win wars with the courage to make the ultimate sacrifice for the nation, and to build a strong team spirit, and foster grit, tenacity, and perseverance.
培育戰(zhàn)斗精神
人民軍隊(duì)以敢打敢拼聞名于世，在長(zhǎng)期革命建設(shè)實(shí)踐中，培育形成了特色鮮明的戰(zhàn)斗精神，集中體現(xiàn)為“一不怕苦、二不怕死”。2013年4月，習(xí)近平在視察海軍駐三亞部隊(duì)時(shí)提出，抓思想政治建設(shè)，必須把培育戰(zhàn)斗精神、培養(yǎng)戰(zhàn)斗作風(fēng)突出出來(lái)，強(qiáng)化官兵當(dāng)兵打仗、帶兵打仗、練兵打仗的思想，探索形成戰(zhàn)斗精神培育的長(zhǎng)效機(jī)制。2014年12月，中共中央轉(zhuǎn)發(fā)《關(guān)于新形勢(shì)下軍隊(duì)政治工作若干問(wèn)題的決定》，強(qiáng)調(diào)培育以“一不怕苦、二不怕死”為核心的戰(zhàn)斗精神，發(fā)揮思想教育引導(dǎo)、訓(xùn)練管理磨礪、重大任務(wù)錘煉、戰(zhàn)斗文化熏陶、政策制度激勵(lì)的作用，組織學(xué)習(xí)部隊(duì)?wèi)?zhàn)史、戰(zhàn)例、戰(zhàn)將、戰(zhàn)斗英雄，弘揚(yáng)愛(ài)國(guó)主義和革命英雄主義，提振革命軍人精氣神，培育舍身報(bào)國(guó)戰(zhàn)斗信念、敢打必勝戰(zhàn)斗血性、團(tuán)結(jié)協(xié)作戰(zhàn)斗品格、沉穩(wěn)堅(jiān)韌戰(zhàn)斗心理、英勇頑強(qiáng)戰(zhàn)斗作風(fēng)。
