十八洞村
十八洞村位于湖南省花垣縣排碧鄉(xiāng)西南部，是一個純苗族村寨。這里山高林密、民風淳樸、風景獨特，因十八溶洞群得名。全村總面積14162畝，225戶，939人，但耕地面積僅有817畝（全村人均耕地僅有0.83畝），2013年人均純收入僅有1668元。因為貧困，村里不少年輕人成家也成了難題。2013年11月3日，習近平來到十八洞村調研，提出了“實事求是、因地制宜、分類指導、精準扶貧”十六字方針，并明確提出了“可復制”“可推廣”的原則。
2018年，十八洞村修通了村里出山的路，村民的庭院也實現了通水改廁、架電亮燈；年產的300噸果子順利拿到了有機食品認證和出口果園認證，每戶村民分紅不低于5000元；銀行開到了村里，家門口也有了ATM機；村里礦泉水廠正式投產，十八個大溶洞景區(qū)也將開業(yè)；十八洞村村民的人均純收入從1600多元增加到1萬元以上，精準識別的533人全部脫貧摘帽。
Shibadong Village
Shibadong is a village of the Miao people, located in Huayuan County, Hunan Province. Its name (literally "18 caves") comes from the 18 karst caves nearby. Despite the beautiful scenery they enjoy, the 225 households and 939 villagers share only 817 mu (54 hectares) of arable land, which means 0.83 mu for each villager. The village produced a per-capita net income of only 1,668 yuan in 2013. Poverty made it difficult for young village men to find wives, as few women would want to marry into this poor village.
The situation changed with the arrival of Xi Jinping, who visited Shibadong on an inspection tour on November 3, 2013. Xi proposed a principle for poverty alleviation: targeted efforts based on local conditions, and he also required that the approach be applicable to other locations.
Thanks to targeted development measures and assistance from all sides, great changes have taken place in Shibadong. The village now has tapped water, power access, indoor flushing toilets and a bank branch with an ATM. There are quality roads leading to the outside world. The village plantation, with a yearly yield of 300 tons of fruits, has obtained an organic certification for export, from which each household will earn a dividend of at least 5,000 yuan per year. A mineral water plant has begun operation, and an 18-karst-cave tourist zone is to open soon. The per-capita net income has risen from a little more than 1,600 yuan to more than 10,000 yuan, and the 533 poor villagers no longer live in poverty.
