The spirit of reform and innovation
This is a spirit of the current times. It is rooted in China's experience of reform and opening up that began in the late 1970s under the leadership of the CPC. This spirit means keeping abreast with the times, forging ahead with determination, and being courageous in exploring new paths.
As pioneers of reform and opening up, reformers must respond to the call of the times and have the determination to cut trails through mountains and build bridges over rivers, thus paving the way for further advance. With the determination to move on and the confidence to win, they will drive reform and opening up to a deeper level. They need to act with initiative, take on responsibilities, and ensure that reform and innovation progresses on a sustainable basis. They are courageous people who will never slow the pace of reform and opening up, and are meticulous in every action they take.

改革創(chuàng)新精神，就是自黨的十一屆三中全會以來，中國共產(chǎn)黨團結(jié)帶領(lǐng)人民在改革開放過程中，所形成的一種偉大時代精神。這一精神的主要內(nèi)涵是“與時俱進、銳意進取、勤于探索、勇于實踐”。與時俱進，就是要以逢山開路、遇水架橋的執(zhí)著，把握全面深化改革脈搏，真正讓新時代改革創(chuàng)新收到成效。銳意進取，就是要樹立堅定的決心和必勝的信心，緊跟全面深化改革新步伐，真正讓新時代改革創(chuàng)新勇往直前。勤于探索，就是要以主動作為、勇于擔當?shù)木瘢七M新時代全面深化改革，真正讓新時代改革創(chuàng)新深入持久。勇于實踐，就是要改革不停步、開放不止步，真正讓新時代改革創(chuàng)新落實落細。
