A Meeting of High-Level Dialogue Between the CPC and World Political Parties

The meeting was hosted by the International Department of the Central Committee of the CPC from November 30 to December 3, 2017 in Beijing. It was the first multilateral diplomatic event hosted by China after the conclusion of the 19th CPC National Congress in October. It was also the first time that the CPC had held a high-level meeting with such a wide range of political parties from around the world. Delegates representing more than 200 political parties and political organizations from over 120 countries attended the meeting.

The theme was "Working Together Toward a Community with a Shared Future for Humanity and a Better World: Responsibilities of Political Parties." Extensive interactions and in-depth discussions were conducted on the following topics - "Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era," "Development of China: New Era, New Vision," "Promoting Innovation Across the World: Role of China," "Building Stronger Political Parties, Challenges and Prospects," "Striving for Better Development of Countries: National Practice and Experience of Political Parties," "Jointly Pursuing the Belt and Road Initiative: Role of Political Parties," and "Steering the Building of a Community with  a Shared Future for Humanity: Role and Responsibilities of Political Parties."

These deliberations served as a concerted effort to ascertain the direction of development of humanity as a whole, to find solutions to practical issues, and to build a community with a shared future for humanity and a better world together.

Xi Jinping addressed the opening session with a keynote speech entitled "Joining Hands to Build a Better World." The meeting concluded with the Beijing Initiative.

中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨與世界政黨高層對(duì)話會(huì)由中共中央對(duì)外聯(lián)絡(luò)部主辦，于2017年11 月30日至12月3日在北京舉行。此次對(duì)話會(huì)是黨的十九大后中國(guó)舉辦的首場(chǎng)主場(chǎng)多邊外交活動(dòng)，是中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨首次與全球各類(lèi)政黨舉行的高層對(duì)話。對(duì)話會(huì)上，來(lái)自120多個(gè)國(guó)家的200多個(gè)政黨和政治組織領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人，以“構(gòu)建人類(lèi)命運(yùn)共同體、共同建設(shè)美好世界：政黨的責(zé)任”為主題，就“習(xí)近平新時(shí)代中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義思想”“新時(shí)代中國(guó)：新發(fā)展、新理念”“創(chuàng)新世界、中國(guó)貢獻(xiàn)”“加強(qiáng)政黨建設(shè)：政黨的挑戰(zhàn)和未來(lái)”“建設(shè)美好國(guó)家：政黨的實(shí)踐和經(jīng)驗(yàn)”“共建‘一帶一路’：政黨的參與和貢獻(xiàn)”“引領(lǐng)構(gòu)建人類(lèi)命運(yùn)共同體：政黨的角色和責(zé)任”等議題進(jìn)行了廣泛深入的對(duì)話交流，共同探討人類(lèi)社會(huì)未來(lái)發(fā)展方向和現(xiàn)實(shí)問(wèn)題的應(yīng)對(duì)之道，推動(dòng)構(gòu)建人類(lèi)命運(yùn)共同體，攜手建設(shè)美好世界。習(xí)近平出席開(kāi)幕式并發(fā)表了題為《攜手建設(shè)更加美好的世界》的主旨演講，會(huì)議發(fā)表了《北京倡議》。
