Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation
This is the highest-level international event organized under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative. The main events include an opening ceremony, a Leaders Roundtable Summit and a high-level conference.
The first forum was organized by China in Beijing on May 14-15, 2017. A major diplomatic gathering in 2017, it was significant to international and regional cooperation. Twenty-nine foreign heads of state and government attended the forum along with the UN secretary-general and heads of two other international organizations, in addition to more than 1,500 representatives from over 130 countries. About 4,000 global journalists reported the event. Xi Jinping delivered a keynote speech at the opening of the forum.
The major deliverables include more than 270 concrete results in five key areas – policy, infrastructure, trade, finance, and people-to-people connectivity.
Xi Jinping announced on May 15 at the Leaders Roundtable Summit that China would host the forum again in 2019.
“一帶一路”國(guó)際合作高峰論壇
“一帶一路”國(guó)際合作高峰論壇是“一帶一路”提出以來(lái)最高規(guī)格的論壇活動(dòng)，主要包括開(kāi)幕式、圓桌峰會(huì)和高級(jí)別會(huì)議三個(gè)部分。第一屆“一帶一路”國(guó)際合作高峰論壇于2017年5月14日至15日在北京舉行，是2017年中國(guó)重要的主場(chǎng)外交活動(dòng)，對(duì)推動(dòng)國(guó)際和地區(qū)合作具有重要意義。29位外國(guó)元首、政府首腦及聯(lián)合國(guó)秘書(shū)長(zhǎng)、紅十字國(guó)際委員會(huì)主席等3位重要國(guó)際組織負(fù)責(zé)人出席高峰論壇，來(lái)自130多個(gè)國(guó)家的約1500名各界貴賓作為正式代表出席論壇，來(lái)自全球的4000余名記者注冊(cè)報(bào)道此次論壇。2017年5月14日，中國(guó)國(guó)家主席習(xí)近平出席論壇開(kāi)幕式并發(fā)表主旨演講。經(jīng)過(guò)梳理和匯總形成的高峰論壇成果清單主要涵蓋政策溝通、設(shè)施聯(lián)通、貿(mào)易暢通、資金融通、民心相通5大類，共76大項(xiàng)、270多項(xiàng)具體成果。
2017年5月15日，習(xí)近平主持圓桌峰會(huì)并宣布中國(guó)將于2019年舉辦第二屆“一帶一路”國(guó)際合作高峰論壇。
