Major Country Diplomacy with Chinese Characteristics
The CPC is committed to improving the wellbeing of the Chinese people, and to advancing human progress. It has always been our mission to contribute to humanity’s progress. To this end, a proactive foreign policy that reflects China’s position as a major country with Chinese characteristics is critical, as Xi Jinping stated at the Central Committee’s Foreign Policy Meeting in November 2014.
The report to the 19th CPC National Congress underlined the importance of such a policy and its role in building a new form of international relations and a community with a shared future for humanity.
China will remain committed to peace, development, cooperation, and mutual benefit, have friendly cooperation with other countries based on the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, and work to build a new form of international relations featuring mutual respect, fairness, justice, and cooperation for mutual benefit.
China calls on people all over the world to work together to build a community with a shared future for humanity, an open, inclusive, clean, and beautiful world that enjoys lasting peace, universal security, and shared prosperity.
China will never falter in its pursuit of an independent foreign policy of peace. China respects the right of the people of all countries to choose their own development path, and endeavors to uphold international fairness and justice. It will continue to forge global partnerships, expand the convergence of interests with other countries, increase its external exchanges and cooperation in various fields, follow an open-door policy in its development efforts and work for building an open world economy. Guided by a vision for participatory global governance, it will actively participate in and contribute to global governance reform.
中國特色大國外交
中國共產黨是為中國人民謀幸福的政黨，也是為人類進步事業而奮斗的政黨。中國共產黨始終把為人類作出新的更大的貢獻作為自己的使命。2014年11月，習近平在中央外事工作會議上指出，中國必須有自己的特色大國外交。中共十九大報告強調，中國特色大國外交要推動構建新型國際關系，推動構建人類命運共同體。為此，中國將高舉和平、發展、合作、共贏的旗幟，在和平共處五項原則基礎上發展同各國的友好合作，推動建設互相尊重、公平正義、合作共贏的新型國際關系；呼吁各國人民同心協力，構建人類命運共同體，建設持久和平、普遍安全、共同繁榮、開放包容、清潔美麗的世界；堅定奉行獨立自主的和平外交政策，尊重各國人民自主選擇發展道路的權利，維護國際公平正義；積極發展全球伙伴關系，擴大同各國的利益交匯點，加強各方面各領域的對外交流與合作；堅持對外開放的基本國策，堅持打開國門搞建設，推動建設開放型世界經濟；秉持共商共建共享的全球治理觀，積極參與全球治理體系改革和建設，不斷貢獻中國智慧和力量。
