The Chinese Dream
Xi Jinping first explained his vision of the Chinese Dream on November 29, 2012, when visiting the exhibition “The Path to National Rejuvenation.” National rejuvenation has been the greatest dream of the Chinese people since the beginning of modern times. It is a dream that spans generations, a dream that reflects our national interests, and a dream embraced by every Chinese.
We will strive to complete the building of a moderately prosperous society by 2021 when the CPC celebrates its 100th birthday, to basically achieve modernization by 2035, and to make China a modern socialist country that is prosperous, strong, democratic, culturally advanced, harmonious and beautiful by 2049, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic. That is what our dream of national rejuvenation is all about.
In essence, the Chinese Dream is a commitment to bringing prosperity and happiness to our country, our nation and our people. It is a dream of our country, our nation, and our people. To make our dream come true, we must follow the Chinese path to development, elevate the Chinese spirit, and boost national cohesion.
The Chinese Dream is a dream of peace, development, cooperation and prosperity for all, benefiting not only the Chinese people but also the people of the rest of the world. Only by staying focused on achieving real results and making sustained and unwavering efforts can we bring our dream to fruition. The Chinese Dream is not a flower reflected in a mirror or a moon reflected in water. It is not an empty slogan. The goal of the CPC corresponds to the people’s yearning for a better life and a brighter future.
中國夢
2012年11月29日，習(xí)近平在參觀《復(fù)興之路》展覽時發(fā)表講話首次提出中國夢。實現(xiàn)中華民族偉大復(fù)興，就是中華民族近代以來最偉大的夢想。這個夢想，凝聚了幾代中國人的夙愿，體現(xiàn)了中華民族和中國人民的整體利益，是每一個中華兒女的共同期盼。到2021年中國共產(chǎn)黨成立一百年時全面建成小康社會，到2035年基本實現(xiàn)現(xiàn)代化，到2049年中華人民共和國成立一百年時建成富強(qiáng)民主文明和諧美麗的社會主義現(xiàn)代化國家，實現(xiàn)中華民族偉大復(fù)興的夢想。中國夢基本內(nèi)涵是實現(xiàn)國家富強(qiáng)、民族振興、人民幸福。中國夢是國家的、民族的，也是每一個中國人的。中國夢歸根到底是人民的夢。實現(xiàn)中國夢必須走中國道路，弘揚(yáng)中國精神，凝聚中國力量。中國夢是和平、發(fā)展、合作、共贏的夢，不僅造福中國人民，也同各國人民的美好夢想息息相通。實干才能夢想成真。中國夢不是鏡中花、水中月，不是空洞的口號。人民對美好生活的向往就是中國共產(chǎn)黨的奮斗目標(biāo)。
