Peaceful Development
The concept of peaceful development is underpinned by a focus on seeking peaceful development with the help of a peaceful international environment while also contributing to the maintenance of world peace through our own development initiatives; relying on our own efforts, particularly through reform and innovation, to achieve progress while also opening wider to the rest of the world and learning from the experiences of other countries; adapting to the process of economic globalization and seeking mutual benefits for all; and working with the international community to bring lasting peace, prosperity, and harmony to the world.
China's commitment to peaceful development is unshakable, and we encourage all other countries to do the same. We will take on more international responsibilities, work with other countries to uphold humanity's best interests and international norms, and stand for justice in regional and international affairs. International disputes should be resolved by peaceful means. Never seeking hegemony or pursuing an expansionist foreign policy ourselves, we oppose all forms of hegemony and power politics. It is our consistent position to encourage the search for win-win solutions that take into account the interests of other countries as well as those of our own, and are beneficial to all. It is essential to foster cooperative interaction among members of the world community.
As China's experience of reform and opening up over the past 30-plus years shows, the pursuance of peaceful development has been a crucial strategic move that is based on the considerations of China's national conditions, social system and cultural traditions. It represents a timely response to today's imperatives and serves the fundamental interests of China, and those of its neighbors and the rest of the world.
和平發(fā)展道路
和平發(fā)展道路歸結(jié)起來(lái)就是：既通過(guò)維護(hù)世界和平發(fā)展自己，又通過(guò)自身發(fā)展維護(hù)世界和平；在強(qiáng)調(diào)依靠自身力量和改革創(chuàng)新實(shí)現(xiàn)發(fā)展的同時(shí)，堅(jiān)持對(duì)外開(kāi)放，學(xué)習(xí)借鑒別國(guó)長(zhǎng)處；順應(yīng)經(jīng)濟(jì)全球化發(fā)展潮流，尋求與各國(guó)互利共贏和共同發(fā)展；同國(guó)際社會(huì)一道努力，推動(dòng)建設(shè)持久和平、共同繁榮的和諧世界。中國(guó)將堅(jiān)定不移走和平發(fā)展道路，同時(shí)也將推動(dòng)各國(guó)共同堅(jiān)持和平發(fā)展。中國(guó)將積極承擔(dān)更多國(guó)際責(zé)任，同世界各國(guó)一道維護(hù)人類良知和國(guó)際公理，在世界和地區(qū)事務(wù)中主持公道、伸張正義。中國(guó)主張以和平方式解決國(guó)際爭(zhēng)端，反對(duì)各種形式的霸權(quán)主義和強(qiáng)權(quán)政治，永遠(yuǎn)不稱霸，永遠(yuǎn)不搞擴(kuò)張。中國(guó)主張堅(jiān)持共贏精神，在追求本國(guó)利益的同時(shí)兼顧別國(guó)利益，做到惠本國(guó)、利天下，推動(dòng)走出一條合作共贏、良性互動(dòng)的路子。
中國(guó)改革開(kāi)放30多年的歷史已經(jīng)證明，和平發(fā)展是中國(guó)基于自身國(guó)情、社會(huì)制度、文化傳統(tǒng)作出的戰(zhàn)略抉擇，順應(yīng)時(shí)代潮流，符合中國(guó)根本利益，符合周邊國(guó)家利益，符合世界各國(guó)利益。
