People who want to spend the weekend in Xitang, a beautiful water town in Zhejiang Province, will find the trip a "mission impossible," as the town has been closed so Tom Cruise and his co-stars can shoot the third installment of the action movie series.

Shanghai Sightseeing Bus Center has stopped selling tickets to the town from November 24 to 28, after receiving a closing notice from Xitang Tourism and Cultural Development Co Ltd.

The notice said the town won't receive tour groups or individual visitors, during the five-day stretch.

"We're sorry some customers have come to our ticket office at the terminal, only to find the line is closed for five days," said Yao Weirong, deputy director of Shanghai Sightseeing Bus Center.

Cruise is expected to stay in China about 10 days, shooting scenes for "Mission Impossible III" in Xitang and Shanghai.
