At least 12 people were killed and 13 wounded by militants of National Liberation Front of Tripura Sunday at Singicherra of West Tripura district ofeast India's Tripura state, the Times of India reported on Monday.
Police said two groups of insurgents encircled the Bazar Sunday evening and sprayed bullets indiscriminately killing 12 people on the spot and injuring 13.
The militants then fled from the area.
Ten injured were admitted to hospital where their condition was stated to be critical.
