Senior CPC Official Meets West European Guests

Li Tieying, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met in Beijing Thursday with a delegation of representatives from the socialist parties of three West European countries.

Members of the delegation include Alain Bergounioux from the Socialist Party of France, Alberto Costa from the Socialist Party of Portugal and Detlev Albers from the Social Democratic Party of Germany. They are here to attend a two-day seminar on social changes and the parties, organized by the International Department of CPC Central Committee here Tuesday and Wednesday.

Li, also president of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, exchanged views with the guests on issues of common concern.
