The first group of 37 lawyers who will act as attorneys for various Beijing-based enterprises took up their posts on Thursday.
The lawyers will work in six Beijing-based enterprises -- the Legend Group, CITIC Industrial Bank, Huaxia Bank, Everbright Bank,Ufsoft and Yanshan Petrochemical Corporation.
All 37 lawyers received their business licenses from the Beijing Municipal Legal Bureau on Thursday.
Yang Yiwen, deputy director of the bureau, said that the move is aimed at encouraging lawyers to offer legal advice to corporatepolicy-makers, participate in corporate affairs and help enterprises function in accordance with the law.
