China has postponed for half a year investigating two anti-dumping cases aimed at foreign chemical products, according to reports issued Thursday by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation.
The target import products include phthalic anhydride, a chemical coloring agent produced in the Republic of Korea (ROK), Japan and India, and styrene butadiene rubber, a chemical raw material for tires and other rubber products, produced in Russia, the ROK and Japan.
The investigations have been postponed until Sept. 6 and Sept. 19, 2003, respectively, according to the ministry.
Chinese regulations rule that the anti-dumping investigation period is limited to within one year, but can be extended by six months if necessary.
